Our
Aida left us on Easter Monday 2005 and few days later her doughter
Arca puppies were born… It was very sad period for us. She lef us suddenly during the night, we missed say goodbye to her.
When we were the worst Girka came to us quite unexpectedly… Janka and Peter Guga, Arca owners, made fantastic decision and gave us as a present their the most favourite puppy - a little princess with pedigree name Adelaide, same as her famous grandmother. We called her simply
Gugirka (by her kennel name) and there was a very short step to her final nickname
Girka. She was the small devilkin in rr skin and didn't give us much space for mourning for Aida,
Bardy prefered got out of Girka's way more than 2 weeks and he stayed at upper floor alone.
We wanted to breed with her to continue in our Wadaru's Kid lineage… but Girka missed her P1 teeth and she is disqualified as breeding female :-(
She is very sensitive and she likes to decent treatment, but she likes to sulk in the ring so that the handler is not able to tackle with her. Sometimes when she really disobeys I say her that „she will be used in goulash…”. But she's still our sunshine.
In spite of fact, that she participated on exhibitions very rarely, she was very succesful, she was awarded as the first ridgeback from slovak breeding by title Intermediate Class Winner in World Dog Show (V1 CAC, WDS Poznaņ 2007), she is the only ridgeback in history who won both Club Show in one year (2008), she got 2nd place at The Rhodesian Ridgeback World Congress Show in Portumna (Ireland 2008)…
